Context as Infrastructure

Praxsys is built around a simple idea: context should compound.

Most teams already have the context they need somewhere. It may live in chats, task notes, files, screenshots, AI conversations, meetings, audits, approvals, or review comments. The problem is that context often disappears from the work it was meant to support.

Praxsys treats context as part of the operational system.

What Context Means

Context is the useful background that helps a team understand what is happening and why.

In Praxsys, context can include:

  • plans
  • requests
  • tasks
  • comments
  • attachments
  • reviews
  • decisions
  • visual feedback
  • operational notes

The goal is not to collect everything. The goal is to keep the important pieces connected to the work they explain.

Durable Context

Some context should last.

Examples include:

  • the plan that explains the direction
  • the request that started the work
  • the task that carried execution
  • the comment thread where a decision was made
  • the file or screenshot that clarified a problem
  • the review outcome that confirmed what changed

When these pieces stay connected, future work becomes easier to understand. A teammate can see why something exists, what was decided, what changed, and what still needs attention.

Temporary Conversation

Some conversation is useful in the moment but should not become the project record.

This includes:

  • exploratory AI chats
  • rough discussion
  • early brainstorming
  • incomplete notes
  • offhand messages

These inputs can still help. They can become context for a plan, request, task, or review. But Praxsys is designed so lasting understanding lives in intentional work artifacts instead of scattered conversation history.

Context Through Overview And List

Praxsys keeps context moving through the project lifecycle.

SurfaceContext Role
OverviewConnects Packages, Requests, Files, and Team context.
ListCarries task status, discussion, attachments, Checklist progress, and working decisions.
Packages and RequestsRecord content approvals, resolutions, and the context behind them.

This keeps supporting context and task execution distinct while preserving the links between them.

Why It Matters

Durable context makes work easier to carry forward.

It helps teams:

  • onboard collaborators faster
  • reduce repeated explanation
  • review work with clearer background
  • preserve decisions after a project changes hands
  • understand why a task or request exists
  • keep client feedback close to delivery work
  • use AI with better grounding
  • continue operations after project delivery

Context is not just documentation. It is the connective tissue that makes the work easier to inspect, discuss, improve, and sustain.

How AI Fits

Teams may use AI tools to interpret, summarize, and refine context. Beta 1 does not include built-in AI features.

Useful conclusions from those tools can be brought into visible Project artifacts that people can inspect and review. The team remains responsible for the work and its decisions.

That keeps AI useful without making temporary conversation the record.

The Practical Standard

Praxsys should make it easier to answer practical questions:

  • Why are we doing this?
  • Who asked for it?
  • What was decided?
  • What changed?
  • What is ready for review?
  • What was approved?
  • What should be cared for next?

When those answers stay close to the work, the workspace becomes more valuable over time.
