Beta 1 — Attachment Previews And Uploads

Summary: Smoother attachment uploads, HEIC previews, clearer file controls, and optional Product updates preferences. This update continues the Beta 1 milestone.

Projects​

  • Package files begin uploading as you select them, with upload progress, errors, and retry before Save changes. Task and Package galleries show submitted files immediately while saving; failed saves restore the editable draft.
  • Drop files onto an empty Task attachment area or Package Asset group, or click to browse. For existing files, select Edit, then Upload files.
  • Click a Package Asset group's title-row background or file count to expand or collapse it. Renaming, dragging, and removing groups keep their own controls.

Attachment Previews​

  • Preview HEIC images alongside other supported images, including before saving. Downloads keep the original HEIC file. Failed previews offer retry and original download.
  • Full width and fullscreen image previews fit the available width. Smaller images remain centered without stretching; tall images can scroll vertically.
  • DOCX, CSV/TSV, and text thumbnails show scaled document, table, or text content. DOCX previews still omit original page layout and embedded images.
  • Filename icons reveal a download action on hover or keyboard focus. File cards without previews show a download action, and colored format icons make file types easier to identify.

Notifications​

  • Choose Product updates in Account Settings separately from work-related Email notifications. Product updates is optional and off until you subscribe.
  • An optional Stay in the loop prompt offers Subscribe to product updates or No thanks. You can review your preference later in Account Settings.

Reliability​

  • Attachment save and retry recovery keeps saved files visible through refreshes and avoids adding a second copy when an earlier save succeeded but its response was interrupted.
