List

List is the Project task-execution surface. It presents the complete task lifecycle together instead of separating active and review work into different pages.

Task States

Tasks use these statuses:

  • To Do
  • In Progress
  • In Review
  • Done

List view controls do not change the underlying task data:

  • Filters combines Assignee, Status, Priority when available, and Visibility where permitted. Assignee choices include All, Mine, and Unassigned.
  • Group by offers Section, Status, Assignee, and Priority when available.
  • Columns controls Assignee, Priority, Due Date, Status, and Checklist. Eligible managers can also show Visibility.

Search finds tasks by name. Clear filters keeps other view settings; Reset restores the default view.

Task Details

Opening a task keeps the List mounted while showing its details panel. Depending on your access, task details can include fields, description, Checklist, attachments, comments, notification subscriptions, private Journal entries, and Activity.

Assignee choices come from people with access to the Project. Eligible managers can use Add team member… to open the existing Team flow. Assigning a task does not grant Project access.

When you can edit a task, select Edit Description, paste images at the cursor, and select Save to keep them with the text. Images remain inline without appearing again in Assets. See Description images for limits and Save/Cancel behavior.

To add direct attachments, select Upload files in the empty attachment area, then drop files or click to browse. If files are already present, select Edit attachments, then Upload files. Select Save changes to keep the changes. See Attachments for previews and retry behavior.

Task comments and attachments remain available after completion. Archiving is the shared boundary that makes the task read-only.

Visibility And Guest Access

Task visibility can be Team + Guests or Team Only. Guests can read and discuss visible tasks, manage their own watch state, and keep private Journal notes. They cannot edit task fields, change status, manage the Checklist, upload direct task assets, or change visibility.

Ordering

List defaults to Section grouping and manual order. Select a sortable column heading to sort within each group; select it again to reverse direction. Manual order beside a Section's task count restores its saved order without clearing filters.

Authorized users can reorder tasks in eligible Section views. Name search and column sorting disable dragging. New Section is available to authorized users directly on wide screens and in the dots menu on compact screens.

When deleting an eligible Section, confirmation names the remaining Section that will receive its completed and archived Tasks. Archived Tasks stay archived. Active unfinished work or other remaining content blocks deletion, and at least one Section must remain. If the destination has changed, refresh before trying again.
