Plan Requests

Plan Requests let guests submit work requests without giving them task creation or task editing access.

Requests are intake items. Tasks are execution items. A request becomes execution work only when a project manager creates a task from it or closes it with a result.

Submitting A Request

Guests can use Submit Request where available. Managers can use New Request when they are entering a request on behalf of a project member.

A request can include:

  • title
  • rich-text description
  • priority
  • optional desired date
  • optional original attachments

The desired date is a preference, not a task due date or delivery promise.

Request Status

Requests are grouped into two sections:

  • Open for New and In Review requests.
  • Closed for Resolved and Task Created requests.

Guest requesters can see their own request status, history, original attachments, comments, and resolution details.

Request Details

The request details panel supports project discussion around the request while keeping it separate from task execution.

Open requests can include:

  • comments
  • mentions
  • bookmarks
  • watchers
  • comment attachments
  • image previews
  • manager Journal entries

Request comments can include pasted images inline where the comment composer supports it. Those images remain request comment attachments and can still be previewed or downloaded.

Closed requests remain visible to eligible readers so the result is clear.

Manager Actions

Owners, Admins, and Project Leads can manage the request queue.

Managers can:

  • review project requests
  • move requests into review
  • create a task from a request
  • close a request with a reason
  • comment on open requests
  • manage watcher participation where allowed

When a manager creates a task from a request, Praxsys can prefill the task title, priority, and desired date. The manager still chooses the section, assignee, due date, and status. Original request attachments can be included when the manager leaves that option enabled.

Guest Boundaries

Guests can submit and track their own requests, comment on their own open requests, upload request comment attachments, and manage their own watch state.

Guests can edit their own open requests while they remain readable. They cannot create tasks, close requests, review the manager queue, or change execution task data.
