Sales
Sales is the Opportunity workspace. Space Admins can manage all Opportunities, while a Collaborator with Editor access can work on an Opportunity explicitly assigned to them. Client members see a limited Opportunities view only for work explicitly shared with them.
Opportunities
An Opportunity moves through these commercial statuses:
- Lead
- Qualified
- Proposal
- Negotiation
- Won
- Lost
Status describes commercial progress. Archiving is a separate, recoverable action.
Opportunity details can include the assignee, Lead Source, origin, Client Profile, linked Project, contact information, internal notes, Checklist, comments, private Journal entries, attachments, and Activity.
Opportunity Origin
Create Opportunities manually in Sales. Opportunity for defaults to New prospect; choose Existing client to select a Client Profile. Creating from a Client Profile keeps that Client selected.
Origin records how the Opportunity was created, while Lead Source remains an editable business field. Older Form-created Opportunities retain their Intake Form origin, and authorized Admins can inspect the preserved response from Activity. New Form submissions and Form-to-Opportunity creation are unavailable in Beta 1.
Clients And Projects
An Opportunity can exist without a Client Profile. Authorized Admins can later:
- associate an existing Client
- create a Client from the prospect information
- create one linked Project
Creating a Client sets the Opportunity to Qualified. Creating a Project is available from any current Opportunity status and sets it to Won. Those statuses remain editable afterward, and the linked Opportunity keeps its own history.
Checklist
New Opportunities start with an empty Checklist. Admins can add, edit, and reorder items. Use Edit checklist... to prepare structural changes, then Save or Cancel. Completion changes are immediate.
Assigned Collaborators can check or reopen any item and manage items they created, but cannot reorder shared items. There is no Space default Checklist editor.
Sharing With Clients
Admins can share an Opportunity with selected Client Editors or Client Guests associated with its Client Profile. Both receive read-only access to the title, description, and Checklist. Association with a Client Profile alone does not grant access.
Use Add client member to select an existing member or invite someone new. Review and send shows only the newly added recipients. Opportunity-only invitations do not require Project access.
Clients cannot edit the Checklist or access internal deal information, contacts, notes, comments, attachments, Journal, or Activity.
Internal Deal Details
Internal work is organized into Client & Contact and Deal details. Selecting a Client Profile prefills available contact information; editing those fields changes the Opportunity without changing the Client Profile.
Deal details can include a USD low/high value range, Low, Medium, or High win probability, and Not sure, Soon, Later, or Other expected close. Other accepts your own text. Internal Notes remain private to authorized internal participants.
Collaboration And Assignment
Opportunity collaboration includes comments, mentions, attachments, a private Journal, a shared Checklist, and Activity. The current eligible assignee can work only with Opportunities assigned to them and cannot reassign the Opportunity, change protected relationships, or access other Opportunities.
Admins can use Invite a Collaborator from the assignee control. A pending assignee gains access after accepting the invitation; Project access is not required for an Opportunity-only assignment.
